A Micropile is a small-diameter (typically fewer than 12 inches), drilled and grouted substitution pile that normally is bolstered. A micropile is created by drilling a borehole, inserting reinforcement, and grouting the outlet. Micropiles can withstand axial and/or lateral loads, and will be thought of a substitute for conventional piles
